A plot of land in Twickenham with planning permission for two new homes to be built on it has been put up for sale.

Featherstone Leigh is marketing the plot at Fourth Cross Road for £1,225,000.

Two separate planning applications have already been approved for the site.

The first (signed off in May 2019) can see the existing three-bedroom bungalow demolished to make way for a new three bedroom house.

Meanwhile the second (approved in January 2019) was for an outbuilding to be flattened to all for a two-bedroom home with a basement to be built.

The brochure says this is "A rare opportunity to acquire this unique opportunity offered for sale with full planning consent for two detached houses.

"Available to be purchased with both consents (the larger offering up to five beds and three) baths at the front where the existing property stands, the smaller offering two bedrooms and two baths is to be built at the rear with access off Rutland Road."

It adds: "The location, also a short walk from Crane Park which offers playgrounds, tennis courts and pleasant walks along the river.

"There are good transport links in the area, with Strawberry Hill & Twickenham stations both within walking distance and regular buses into Richmond (District line tube) and Kingston.

"The area is well served for schools, both private and state-run, including, Trafalgar Primary and Waldegrave School, both rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted."
