Twickenham mums club to host networking event for entrepreneurial mothers

A local community group is set to host a networking event aimed at connecting mums in business ahead of Mother's Day on Sunday, 30 March 2025.
The Founder Mums Club, created by Twickenham mum Tracey Butcher, was established to bring together entrepreneurial mothers who may feel isolated and lonely and provide them with a supportive space to share knowledge and experiences.
The club regularly hosts both online and in-person events, including walk and talks, accountability sessions, masterclasses and wellbeing sessions.
Its upcoming Networking Evening takes place on Thursday, 27 March at Twickenham Film Studios.

Speaking to Twickenham Nub News, Tracey said: "When I left my comfortable corporate job to start my own business in 2021, I felt like I was finally living my dream, but actually found myself feeling quite lonely, with little support and a steep learning curve and it started to impact my mental wellbeing.
"I really missed the feeling of working in a team and of belonging to something bigger and I was certainly feeling the pressure of doing it all alone.
"When I chatted to other mums that I knew locally who were running their own business, I got the feeling that they felt the same or had experienced the same."
Balancing motherhood and running a business comes with a unique set of demands, which is why the Founder Mums Club not only offers support to help you grow, but also provides a space where mothers can connect and support each other.

The mum of four continued: "We bring together a whole community of mums, some have babies, some have teenagers or children in their 20's.
"We have members who have been running their business for a number of years and many mums who are just starting out.
"The sharing of advice between members at different stages, across parenting and growing a business is really lovely."
The Founder Mums Club's next event will feature a panel of successful female entrepreneurs, who will share their insights on building a business while raising a family.
Joining Tracey as part of the panel are:
- Martha Keith – Founder of Business Secrets Club & Martha Brook London
- Anne-Clare Ribbons – Founder of Cotton Twist
- Rachel Schofield – Former BBC Presenter, Author, and Career Coach, Rework Your Life

Photographer and Founder Mums Club member, Gail Fogarty, added: "As human beings, we thrive best in communities.
"When you work for yourself, it's easy to forget that most of us benefit from being part of a tribe - and that's where the inexhaustible Tracey Butcher and the members of the Founder Mums Club shine with inclusivity and support.
"We don't need an excuse to step away from our individual businesses to connect with like-minded individuals, but it's always nice to have a reason."
The event is supported by Grow London Local, which provides London's small business owners free guidance to help them start, grow and succeed. From free online resources, networking events, or by booking a complimentary consultation with a Business Support Manager who will help identify your needs and direct you to available support.
