Twickenham: New 'Youth Zone' offers wellbeing support for young people in borough

A FREE space for young people in Richmond borough to get support, take part in wellbeing sessions or just chill out has opened in Kingston marketplace.

The new 'Youth Zone' is located on the first floor of Market House (KT1 1JS) and available for 12 to 25-year-olds who live, study or work in the boroughs of Richmond or Kingston.

It is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3-7pm and staffed by friendly support workers.

The space is run by Richmond and Kingston Mind charities and offers free classes such as Mindfulness with Clay and Coping with Stress.

Young people are invited to drop in and take advantage of the space which offers free Wi-Fi, phone/laptop charging and refreshments.

Classes must be booked by calling 07568 227 688 or emailing [email protected].

Richmond borough Mind said: "Youth Zone is run by a team of support workers, there for a chat or to guide you through more complex concerns and put you in touch with specialists who can help with everything from drugs and alcohol, sexual health and money worries."
