A Twickenham pub is due to reopen this week following an "exiting refurbishment" in time for the Six Nations.

The Rising Sun on Richmond Road has been closed since January 6 for the makeover but will invite punters back in again on Friday (31 January).

The pub said the "new-look local" will still have "all the classic Rising Sun charm".

"When we re-open, join us for the best pizza in Twickenham," a statement on the pub's website said.

"Wood-fired, saucy with all the right toppings (and dip-worthy sauces for the crusts). Authentically delicious and great for sharing (or not).

"We're just a stone's throw from Twickenham Stadium, the home of English rugby.

"If you're not planning on heading to the stadium for a match, don't fret.

"We're a great spot for grabbing a beer with those all-important tickets in hand, or catch all the excitement in a front-row seat at your favourite local. We'll be showing all the action of The Guinness Six Nations 2025."

The pub has been sharing some sneak peeks of the revamp on social media.

Pub owner Young's has submitted a planning application for new signs as part of the refurb. Plans submitted to Richmond Council show a number of more modern-look signs are to be installed on the outside of the Rising Sun.
