Commuters travelling through Twickenham are being warned of delays this afternoon after a precarious tree was reported near the railway between Fulwell railway station and Teddington railway station.

South Western Railway said trains heading towards Wimbledon have been forced to run at reduced speed while response teams make their way to the scene.

Services running through Fulwell and Teddington may be delayed, with disruption currently expected until 5:30pm on Tuesday, 29 April.

The issue was first reported at 2:47pm, with the latest update issued at 3:49pm.

Rail passengers are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys and check before travelling.

South Western Railway said station staff and help points are available for anyone needing assistance.
