URGENT APPEAL! – Police seeking help in connection with Mortlake robbery

Police are seeking help to trace a man in connection with a robbery in Mortlake in the early hours of Friday morning.

The Metropolitan police have issued a short CCTV clip of the man who was wearing a distinctive orange hi-visibility jacket.

The man was seen running from the direction of the Watney's Sports Ground past a small parade of shop towards Kingsway and the A316.

A Richmond Police spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a robbery on Lower Richmond Road, Mortlake, at around 03:00hrs on Friday, March 3, 2023.

"We are urgently appealing for witnesses who were in the area at the time and may have noticed the following suspect;

"He is described as a white male, proportionate build, wearing dark grey / black trousers, a black baseball cap and a heavyweight orange hi visibility jacket, as pictured.

"If you were in the area of Mortlake High Street, Sheen Road or Lower Richmond Road at this time, or know this person, please contact us via 101 using reference 703/03MAR23."
