Richmond Council has introduced four cargo bike parking bays to "support young families and promote sustainable transport".

The dedicated cargo bike parking bays are located near destination points for young families, including primary schools, nurseries, playgrounds and shops. 

"We plan to introduce more bays in the coming months as part of an on-street parking trial," the council said.

"This initiative is just one of the many schemes we have introduced to help create a convenient and safe environment for cycling as we strive to become the cargo bike capital of London."

• Barnes Montessori Nursery
