Thursday, January 12 - The Liam Grundy Band
A blend of Rocking Country Blues with knockout original material.
Liam Grundy is a piano player/vocalist and guitarist working in UK Europe and the USA.
He has worked with roots legends James Burton, Dave Edmunds, Steve Cropper, Billy Swan, Scotty Moore and Shakin' Stevens amongst many others. He has written for Dave Edmunds and various Nashville Artists and is a busy session musician. He has recorded at SUN Studio & Ardent in Memphis and all the major UK studios including Abbey Road. He has worked in West End Theatre, touring theatre and TV.
Band lineup is Liam Grundy - Piano/Vocals/Guitar, Preben Raunsbjerg - Electric Guitar, Richard Sadler - Bass, Jason Reay - Drums.

Friday, January 13 - The Jam Factory
The Jam Factory is a local band who play a heady fusion of Rock, Pop & Blues covers.
They are playing a charity gig at Patchworks Music Bar in aid of the Children's Society. No charge on the door, but there will be a charity collection for this fabulous cause.

This great night out has something for everyone from lovers of literature to jazz fans to anyone who just loves being entertained!
David Copperfield is presented through readings from the text after which eight musicians bring the characters and scenes to life switching audiences form hilarity to pathos with amazing skill.

Sunday, January 15 - Sally Ironmonger and Brian Carter
The duo have been writing and performing together for nearly 20 years.
They have produced 4 studio albums of songs about shipyards, prostitutes, trips to the seaside, self-deprecating amusing songs and protest anthems.
Based in Medway, they write contemporary folk songs, with a nod to traditional themes. Sally describes their work as 'modern folk songs, telling stories and making social comment, making people laugh as well as think'.
Brian has worked as a professional and semi-professional musician all of his adult life. Over the years he has developed a style which fuses jazz, folk and latin to produce a unique mix of melody and bass rhythms.

January 12-17 Nerubashenko Ballet presents Swan Lake and The Nutcracker
Ballet lovers and newcomers alike will find joy and spectacle in the classical delights of Nerubashenko Ballet's presentations.
Swan Lake - January 12-13 - is a timeless tale: Prince Siegfried falls in love with Odette, Queen of the Swans but is tricked into the ultimate betrayal, leading to tragedy.
The Nutcracker – January 14-15 - is a festive treat for all the family. Clara's adventures begin when she is gifted a Nutcracker doll who magically comes to life.
The performance include performances by a live orchestra, while the cast of international artistes have been hand-picked by Ukrainian-born Ludmila Nerubashenko.

Friday, January 13 - The Comedy Store
Soho comes to Barnes. Each performance features a compere plus three different comedians meaning there's something for everyone.
Previous acts at the OSO have included: Paul Sinha, Zoe Lyons, Paul Thorne, Laura Lexx and Emmanuel Sonubi. Inspired by the comedy clubs in New York and LA and set up in 1979, the Comedy Store began a comedy revolution and today is a recognised platform for established stand-up comedians.
Saturday, January 14 - Chekhov's Grand Piano
In this mixed-genre production from 7 Star Arts, the words of the great Russian writer, Anton Chekhov, are interwoven with music by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Prokofiev and more, plus original compositions by David le Page, inspired by 'The Seagull'.

Enjoy Sunday lunch with a glass of wine whilst listening to jazz and more from Melbury Music, with wonderful vocalist Sarah Jane Eveleigh, Martin Bazley on piano, Lloyd Jonas on Electric basa, Andrew Eveleigh on drums, and Lester Brown on trumpet / flugelhorn.

January 12-March 5 – Hushed Impressions
Bianca Raffaella is exhibiting as part of the gallery's Emerging Artists Programme.
As a visually impaired artist, she works with essential lines and tactile marks to describe her subjects, whether these are abstracted figures or atmospheric landscapes.
The colour pallets Raffaella chooses are comprised of subtle and faded shades, which are distinctive to her work.

Eel Pie Island Museum – Richmond Road
To mark the 35th anniversary of Black History Month in the UK, the museum is hosting a celebration of Black culture and shines a light on some of the many inspiring people of African and Afro-Caribbean heritage in Richmond, who have made the borough a richer, more vibrant place.
From jazz to reggae, this exploration of Black musicians is not simply Black history but Richmond's history. By learning about our culturally diverse past and traditionally unheard voices, we can look forward to the next exciting chapter together.
