Yellow weather warning issued for Twickenham

A yellow weather warning has been issued for Twickenham today (August 18) and tomorrow (August 19), with warnings of heavy thunderstorms.

The warning is in place from 6am to 12pm today and from 8pm today to 5am tomorrow.

Meteorologists warn that thunderstorms may cause flooding and disruption on Friday night.

They have also warned driving conditions will be affected by spray and standing water, leading to longer journey times.

They added that there is a chance of flooding and damage to buildings.

Delays to train services are also possible.

Much of London will be affected.
