Last week it was announced that parkrun events would be restarting in Twickenham and across the borough when lockdown restrictions are lifted which means the next runs could take place on Saturday July 24.
Twickenham has one parkrun event over in Crane Park, but we also have plenty of nearby events including Old Deer Park, Richmond Park, Kingston Riverside, and Bushy Park where the parkrun story began.
Following the announcement Twickenham MP Munira Wilson said: "As a runner myself, I am very aware of the important physical and mental health benefits of running, but also the social elements and inclusive nature of parkrun.
"The events cater for runners of all levels, from complete beginners to accomplished athletes - that is part of the magic.

"The lockdowns and restrictions on social gatherings have taken a real toll on many people's mental health.
"It is therefore all the more important that our local parkruns at Bushy Park and Crane Park could restart as soon as it was safe to do so.
"I have been in touch with both Richmond Council and Royal Parks, urging them to facilitate the safe return of parkrun. I have also been in touch with the volunteers who help organise the runs, to offer my support.
"Last month I chaired a meeting between parkrun management and Richmond Council, and I am delighted that agreement has now been reached.
"Parkrun was founded in Bushy Park and the company is based on Eel Pie Island in Twickenham so is a real local success story.
"I wish them every success in restarting their events and hope all the runners across Twickenham enjoy their return."
The announcement was made following a meeting chaired by Wilson, attended by parkrun COO Tom Williams, Cllr Gareth Roberts, Cllr Julia Neden-Watts, and council officers on Wednesday June 23.
