Tsarreta Spice has been a resident of Church Street in Twickenham 2019, with the original Tsaretta Spice opening in Méribel, France in 2016.

They offer a fine-dining Indian restaurant experience, which incorporates a wide selection of contemporary Indian Tapas.

My friend and I were lucky enough to be invited to try their menu, ahead of their Rugby World Cup viewing experience

The atmosphere inside the restaurant was calm and modern, with both indoor seating and an outdoor courtyard provided.

The service was excellent from the moment I walked in, with our server, Juvella, greeting me with a smile and friendly conversation.

I was immediately offered water whilst I was waiting for my friend and once my friend arrived they promptly explained the menu to us and bought us a bowl of poppadoms and dips to share.

The poppadoms were crispy and came with three flavourful dips, mango, mint and rhubarb.

The rhubarb dip especially went extremely well with the poppadoms.

We both opted for a Watermelon Mojito which actually came in a watermelon, with an umbrella in it.

The cocktail was refreshing and sweet and it was presented in such a fun way!

We opted to try the Tapas menu as I had never been out for an Indian before and I thought it would be a great way to try a selection of dishes.

We ordered three tapas dishes each, which was the perfect amount of food.

I ordered Spicy Squid Pakora (£7.25), Avocado Bhel (£7.25) and Hotel Buhari's Chicken 65 (£7.50).

The squid came with a delicious curried mayo which was flavoursome and went really well with the taste of the squid.

The Avocado Bhel was presented interestingly in a glass and was a really interesting combination of textures.

The soft avocado combined with the puffed rice and the roasted peanuts meant that there was a crunchy texture in every bite which made the dish really exciting to eat. This dish was also really filling.

This was the spiciest of the dishes I ordered, however for most people this would probably be fine - I just have an embarrassingly low spice tolerance.

The chicken dish was delicious with the perfect amount of flavour.

My friend ordered Chicken Kebab Corn Dogs (£7.25), Crispy Chilli Aubergine (£6.75) and Mushroom & Soya Mince Tikki (£6.50).

She said that everything was delicious, however, the chilli aubergine was a little bit spicy for her.

She added that she especially appreciated how everything was presented.

For dessert, I ordered the Mango Falooda (£7.50), which consisted of fresh mangoes, vermicelli, chia seeds and kulfi ice.

I really enjoyed the flavour of the mangos and the ice was enjoyable after the spicy main courses.

My friend ordered Chilli Chocolate Royale (£6.50) which consisted of a dark chocolate dome, Dacquoise biscuit, chocolate mousse, hazelnut crunch and chilli flakes

My friend said that she thought the dessert especially was excellent, with the chilli flakes being delicate and not overpowering.

She also commented that as ever with Tapas it was deceptively a lot of food, even though each thing is small and we both walked out into the lovely and vibrant atmosphere of Church Street, feeling full and happy.
