This tribute was written by James Joyce.

This was no ordinary man or business man…let's make that clear.

This is a man who I've know for 15 years that made Sandys an iconic place to visit in Twickenham.

The face of a national Barclays card campaign. The person during Covid who worked EVERY day to deliver food to those that needed it.

The person on a sadly dying high street that stood up to the Council and made it a beacon of light for everyone and took pride in his product and everything he did.

The person who purposely employed people with difficulties where they might never ever get a job anywhere else.

A place where you entered and felt wanted as a consumer and never felt short changed.

A place where, when picking up your order at Christmas, you would be offered mulled wine and treats.

If you ever had a bad day, Stuart would be there for you and all other businesses in Twickenham simply because he cared.
