Goalkeeper-less Hanworth Villa manage to hold on for a 0-0 draw against local rivals Bedfont Sports in the Isthmian League South Central.

Luke Ruddick had to be stretchered off during the first half of the league clash, meaning that Tom Bender had to don the gloves and play in goal.

In spite of this adversity, the Villains managed to club together and show resilience to defend heroically and keep a clean sheet.

The point keeps Hanworth in tenth place in the division, but they slip back to four points off the play-off places following a second straight game without a win.

Next weekend the Villains are back at Rectory Meadow and play host to Leatherhead, who sit 14th in Isthmian League South Central.
