Hanworth Villa scored two goals in the space of three minutes at the death to secure a valuable point at home against Binfield.

Massimo Giamattei scored a fabulous brace and seemed to have wrapped up all three points and secured the visitors their first win in three games after 50 minutes.

However, Hanworth, who were on top throughout, roared back as Tom Bender and Jerome Federico both scored with less than ten minutes to play and secure a draw.

The late goals keep the Villains above Ashford Town in the Isthmian League South Central table on goal difference.

Binfield got off to a quick start and could have taken the lead after six minutes when James Beauchamp was slipped in behind the Hanworth back line down the right and he flicked it over the onrushing Terry Buss but into the side netting.

Hanworth quickly fired a warning shot of their own as Tom Scott cut inside off the right and saw a channel to shoot through and his shot stung the palms of Chris Grace, but he was able to react quickly and gather his own fumble.

Then 20 minutes in a corner was flashed in by Hanworth from the right and Bender stole a march at the near post and he diverted the header across goal but it dropped just wide of the far post.

The goal arrived on the half hour mark and it was something to behold, Bender headed a long ball to Jonathan Hippolyte but Giamattei nipped in front of the winger and on the half volley from 35 yards and out he slammed it over Buss and into the back of the net.

Giamattei's second came just after the break as Hanworth headed a corner as far as the edge of the box and the 20-year-old met it first time and it skipped off the pitch and over Buss as it flicked in off the post.

Liam Track had a chance to officially put it to bed as with 15 minutes to go when Buss pushed a corner out to him and from 15 yards out, but he failed to keep his effort down.

Hanworth had knocked away throughout the second half and after a long throw went out for a corner, Scott received the ball short and flashed a cross across goal and Bender rose highest and powered a header fiercely into the bottom corner.

Another set piece three minutes later brought the equaliser when Gagendeep Samra inadvertently headed a free-kick away from goal but perfectly into the path of Federico and he rifled a volley flush into the same corner in which Bender scored three minutes earlier.
