Meshach Williams' brace inspired Hanworth Villa to a convincing victory against Sutton Common Rovers in Isthmian League Premier Division.

Jonathan Hippolyte gave Hanworth Villa an early lead as he put it into the net after 13 minutes and Williams made it two ten minutes later as the Villains made a fine start in front of their home crowd.

Sutton added some doubt to proceedings as Tony Halsey struck back three minutes later and the game hung in the balance until Williams added his second in the final 20 minutes to rubber stamp the three points for Hanworth.

Despite the win the Villains remain ninth in the Isthmian League South Central, but they are now just two points behind Chertsey Town in the last play-off spot with a game in hand.

Hanworth will be looking to keep up their six-match unbeaten run next weekend when they are back in action as 11th place Chipstead make the trip to Rectory Meadow.
