Parents and children alike enjoy the informal atmosphere of our new junior chess group, which is proving very popular and successful. Although we specifically encourage older children (aged 10-16) who want to develop chess as a long-term hobby, younger children who love playing chess are also welcome as long as they're accompanied by a parent.

Half term will be the ideal time for you and your children to drop in, play a few games, and talk to us about what we do and why we do it.

We'd love to see you there. It's a drop-in club so look in any time you like any Thursday evening and stay as long as you like.

Richmond & Twickenham is one of London's leading chess clubs, running teams in three leagues as well as providing internal competitions and social chess. Players of all ages are welcome to join our main club which runs from 7:30 to 10:30 every Thursday.
