Sunday 13 September
Our Children's Market is back on Sunday 13 September, run in collaboration with Patch, the co-working space on York Street, as part of A Taste of Twickenham.
Every stall is run by a child. They're members of Young Founders House, the children's business and money club that meets at Patch each week. Each child borrows money from their parents, signs a proper loan agreement, and decides what to make and what to charge for it. On the day they do the selling themselves. Afterwards they pay their parents back, put 10% of their profit into a community fund and keep the rest. Some children earn more than their monthly fee in a single market day.
Entry is free, and we're a couple of minutes from Church Street, so you can wander up between tastings. There's live music from Finn as well. And if your child can't be pulled away from the stalls, come and say hello. I run the club, and I'm always glad to chat.
