The Marquee Club All Stars

The Marquee Allstar band play a musical tribute to the iconic world-famous marquee club.

The Marquee club became the spiritual home to so much musical talent, the likes of The Rolling Stones, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Cream and Led Zeppelin, The Faces , Deep Purple , Black Sabbath, AC/DC , Rod Stewart, David Bowie and a wealth of different artist and bands from all genres of music around the world who played and applied their trade at this legendary venue. Marquee Nites bring the sounds of the iconic venue back to life, celebrating the rich musical heritage of the original London club. They channel the spirit of classic rock and pop, delivering a high energy performance with A list musicians that evoke the magic of the 60s & 70s.

The All-Star line-up is Mel Gaynor (Simple Minds, Brian May, Gary Moore, Elton John, Lou Reed, Tina Turner, Meatloaf etc..), Gus Isidore (Mark Bolan, Peter Green, Peter Gabriel, Phil Lynott. Seal etc..), Tom Farrell (Third Lung), Issy Brown (Imagination, Mel Gaynor band), Toby Baker (Eric Clapton, Sinead O'Connor, Paul Weller, BB King).

Local support band Archangels have been a band for two and a half years, playing a range of punk / emo. As well as taking part in The Basement Door's annual Battle of the Bands, they have played two sold out headlining gigs, one at Ram Jam Records and the other at Heatham House. They have released two singles with an EP coming soon.
