Room for Work Career Development Course
All Saints Church Hall, The Avenue, Hampton TW12 3RG
22 Apr 2026 - 4 Jun 2026
Wednesday 22 April
Over-50s have the hardest time returning to work after a redundancy. It can feel like all the cards are stacked against you. If you're struggling to get back into work, and you're a Twickenham resident with skills and experience, this is the programme for you.
At Room for Work we understand the barriers you face. We've developed techniques you can use to get re-employed in a role you want, working in congenial circumstances for an organisation you respect.
Participants learn current job search methods with an emphasis on networking, developing social media skills, improving CVs, using AI effectively and practising competency-based interviews. All delivered in a friendly local environment.
You'll be with like-minded people in the same situation, using the power of community to build your motivation and confidence in finding a job. The Room for Work format includes tailored, one-to-one mentoring provided by the Course Leader with follow-up coaching support.
The 12-lesson programme is for people over 40 with skills and work experience that could range from administrative to managerial and professional roles. Those who are new to the UK job market with good basic English and computer skills are also welcome to join.
This Room for Work course is supported by the Hampton Fund. The course is free and delivered at All Saints Church Hall, The Avenue, Hampton TW12 3RG. Classes are held on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10.30 am-1 pm, April 22 –June 4th.
