Just recovered from the epic Church Street Association Christmas Craft Fair, which we organised for our community, complete with a Victorian themed Xmas Punch & Judy, Face Painting, Balloon Modelling & lots of live music from local bands and of course lots and lots of craft and charity stalls, we now have a lovely 24 Day Living Advent Calendar that all our shops are taking part in.

It will make a wonderful diversion for your children whilst you are busy browsing for Christmas presents in our lovely boutique shops in the street which have everything from Spa Vouchers to Pet accessories to gifts, homeware, travel vouchers, vaping, craft beer sets, vintage & boutique fashion and Italian delicacies and much more!

These traditionally started in the mid 19th Century when German Protestants made marks on their doors or lit candles to help them count the days before Christmas.

Different Churches now still also light candles each Sunday before Christmas Day, and many Children are also brought Advent Calendars from shops with a little present behind each door.

There are also living Advent Calendars and we will be doing this in Church Street from the 1st of December until Christmas Eve. You will be able to find the calendar in the shops in Church Street and will find corresponding pictures in the shop windows that you will be able to match on the Advent Calendar.

There will be a small prize of a £5 Church Street Voucher for the first 20 lucky winners who manage to complete the trail (and also the tie breaker questions!) & post or drop it into Crusader Travel, at 58 Church Street, Twickenham, TW1 3NR until the 1st of January.

Bring a pencil but you may also find these at some of the shops as well!
