A Japanese restaurant chain has bought a former hair salon in Twickenham and begun its transformation of the space inside.

The former salon, Hair, on Church Street has been bought by You Me Sushi according to RICS Chartered Surveyors Sneller Commercial.

A member of Sneller Commercial said that You Me Sushi is currently fitting out its new store, but it can not yet confirm what style of restaurant the company will be opening as You Me Sushi has a number of restaurant concepts.

Sneller said: "Church Street, Twickenham continues to thrive! The now pedestrianized street is attracting interest from a variety of tenants.

"Lease terms have been agreed on behalf of the landlord for this former hair salon occupying a prominent position in the town centre."
