St Margarets pub reopens with three new heated booths

By The Editor 13th Aug 2021

A St Margarets pub has reopened this week with new heated huts and a marquee to welcome people come rain or snow.

The Turk's Head on Winchester Rd received three heated booths from Guinness and its parent company Diageo as part of the #raisethebar campaign.

It has also put up a marquee over the top half of the garden.

Ollie Jack at The Turk's Head said: "It's been so wonderful to be able to re-open and welcome back our team and customers.

"We've been blown away by the support shown over the last year and especially since re-opening with everyone booking tables.

"We want to say a huge thank you to the community for their support.

"Our garden is looking amazing and tables can be booked on our website or over the phone.

"We can't wait to see you all again soon!"

"Raising the Bar" is a global programme that aims to support pubs and bars following the COVID-19 pandemic.

It provides training for staff, advice for venues on bouncing back, and physical equipment including medical-grade hand sanitiser unit and refills.

Bars can register for support from the scheme here.

The Turk's Head is open 4pm-10.30pm Monday – Thursday, 12pm-10.30pm Friday and Saturday, and 12pm-9pm Sunday.

Tables can be booked in advance through the website here.

Opening hours:

Monday – Thursday: 4pm-10.30pm

Friday – Saturday: 12pm-10.30pm
