TWICKENHAM RESULTS: Lib Dems make clean sweep of south west London

Liberal Democrat candidate Munira Wilson has been re-elected as Twickenham's MP with a 56% share of the vote.

The result was announced today, 5 July, at 3am in St Mary's University, the constituency's count centre.

Ms Wilson says she is "absolutely humbled, honoured and delighted" at the result.

Her success was mirrored minutes later by the party's candidate in neighbouring Richmond Park constituency, Sarah Olney, who won with a 54% majority.

The Lib Dems also won in nearby WImbledon, and in party leader Ed Davey's seat of Kingston & Surbiton.

The results for Twickenham constituency can be found below:

Munira Wilson (Liberal Democrats) – 56.0% / 30,185 votes

Jonathan Hulley (Conservatives) – 16.2% / 8,728 votes

Tom Bruce (Labour) – 12.4% / 6,693 votes

Alex Starling (Reform) – 7.6% / 4,092 votes 

Chantal Kerr–Sheppard (Greens) – 6.7% / 3,590 votes

Nisar Malik (Workers Party) – 0.6% / 347 votes

Turnout: 71.8%
