Therapist from Carlisle, Nikki Baglee, is "absolutely thrilled" to join The Hare and The Moon at their new premises on Twickenham Green as an in-house healer.

She says she is excited to travel from the North of England to Twickenham monthly, offering her healing services on the first Thursday of every month.

Nikki brings with her an "incredibly transformative" healing technique called 'Access Bars', which is completely new to the Twickenham area.

'Access Bars' involves gently touching 32 points on the head, similar to acupressure points and is often described as an "energetic spring clean" for the mind, helping to close down "open tabs" in your head, reduce brain fog, increase clarity, and leave you feeling incredibly relaxed, lighter and brighter.

Nikki's journey with 'Access Bars' is deeply personal, who after a lifetime of misdiagnosed anxiety and depression, discovered at the age of 48 that she actually had ADHD.

"Initially I was shocked and confused because never in a million years did I think I was neurodiverse," Nikki tells Twickenham Nub News. "I thought little boys bouncing off the walls in classrooms have ADHD!

"Then I felt sad, angry and frustrated but the biggest positive was being able to forgive myself and let go of lots of internal guilt.

"I realised that I was never actually a flaky student, friend, employee etc, my brain just works in a different way and that's actually been very liberating."

This revelation has fuelled her passion to help others, particularly those managing ADHD. Whilst Access Bars is a fantastic tool for coping with ADHD, Nikki is keen to point out that it is a deeply relaxing experience which is beneficial for anyone.

Other benefits include minimising limiting beliefs, freeing up new possibilities and boosting self-confidence.

A car journey from Carlisle to Twickenham can take up to five and a half hours, but Nikki's best friend who she has known 39 years lives in Twickenham and she visits often which is why the area "feels like a second home" to her.

She adds: "I used to visit The Hare and The Moon when they were in church Street and on a whim I contacted them when they posted on socials asking for healers to get in touch.

"I never thought I'd hear back from them, but because no-one else is offering Access Bars in the area I think Tracey from The Hare and The Moon was interested. We had a chat, got on like a house on fire and the rest is history!"

The Carlisle native will be at The Hare and the Moon on 5 September offering 30 minute taster and 90 minute full sessions, inviting residents to experience the benefits of Access Bars.

Appointments are limited, so be sure to book your session at The Hare and The Moon for the first Thursday of every month.
