Architect's of the Kew Retail Park redevelopment will this evening (Wednesday, September 14) be presenting their plans at the National Archives.

The free event, at 7pm, will allow residents from the local area a forum to air opinions and concerns about possible implications of the development.

Plans for the new neighbourhood next to Kew Gardens, which emerged in July, include up to 1,200 new homes and a new Marks and Spencer.

A report written by Architect JTP in the draft local plan highlighted concern expressed by some residents about "the proposed scale of the development, whilst others recognised that the provision of apartments opens up the opportunity to provide significant publicly accessible green space."

In an invite to the event on social media The Kew Society said: "Come along to the National Archives this evening at 7pm to hear the architect's plans for the redevelopment of the Kew Retail Park. It's an opportunity to air your views/concerns on the implications of the development for the local area.

"The event is free and everyone is welcome."
