Artist drawing every London pub sketches Twickenham's The Rifleman
An artist, who is attempting to draw every pub in London, drew her second pub in Twickenham this week.
Lydia Wood (@lydiawooddrawings) drew The Rifelman Pub, after meeting a man who told her that it was his local pub.
It is the second pub that she has drawn in the Twickenham area, after drawing around 300 other pubs around London.
She previously drew The Prince Bulcher which is located near to Twickenham Green.
She said: "The local invited me down to draw the pub and he really loved this pub so I really wanted to do it.
"When I finished the drawing I went into the pub afterwards to show him and his friends and the landlord and I'm going to give them a print to put up."
Lydia first started drawing pubs during the first COVID lockdown, but The Pub Project Officially started in 2021.
Lydia said that she started to draw pubs because of the community that they can create, as well as the London history which pubs hold.
She said: "It started at the very base level because I love going to pubs and I find them interesting architecturally but also socially, that's where I hang out with my friends and I have a lot of good locals around me that I go to a lot and I feel comfortable in those spaces.
"In terms of an art aspect creating work around things that you love is great inspiration and when I started the project I feel like it was met with a lot of similar kinds of interested people."
She added: "I think that kind of spurred me on more with the project."
Lydia also said that she is keen to draw more pubs in Twickenham, saying that many locals who spoke to her whilst she was sketching The Rifleman asked if she could draw The Swan and The Cabbage Patch.
She said: "It would be really nice to do a series on Riverside Pubs.
"I'll definitely be back in Twickenham to draw more."
