The number of new Covid-19 cases locally has fallen by more than half in a week.

There were 178 new cases in the seven days to February 12 across the borough - a 54.7% decrease on the previous week.

By comparison, at the turn of the New Year, around 200 residents were testing positive for the coronavirus every day.

Our borough's infection rate has been steadily falling since then.
