Richmond Council has granted permission for new signage at the former HSBC bank in Twickenham.

The proposals, submitted by Mr Sundeep Solanki, include new fascia signage, two projecting signs, and a fourth-floor sign on the front of the London Road building.

In its heritage statement, agent The Market Design and Build said: "We are proposing to change the signage of the building at 2 London Road on the ground and top floor walls. The sign will advertise 'Sunny Dental – Cosmetic & Wellness Clinic'."

Director of Sunny Dental, Mr Solanki – better known as Dr Sunny – claims over 14 years of experience and holds a Master's in Advanced Restorative Dentistry, offering clients "expert knowledge, artistry, and empathy to deliver world-class results."

According to his website, the Twickenham clinic is expected to launch this December at the former HSBC branch.

The bank's Twickenham site closed on 20 June 2023. This closure was part of a broader plan by HSBC to shut down 114 branches across the UK.

The Market Design and Build added: "By maintaining the area's architectural and landscape character, the new clinic will contribute positively to the area's heritage while providing a modern and sustainable space."
