A new pop-up art gallery has opened in Twickenham's Strawberry Hill, showcasing affordable art by local artists in a domestic setting.

The gallery, 'Art at Home,' has been set up by consultant and curator Kath Wood and is located in her 19th century home in Twickenham.

Every weekend until October 17 the gallery will feature work by a different artist from its address of Lion House, 13 Sion Lane.

Speaking to the Metro, Kate said: "I want to help demystify the art-buying process and, in our post-lockdown world, attract a new demographic of buyers for original contemporary art by providing a new, relaxed meeting point in a real physical space."

'Art at Home' has a website with the profiles of the artists, a virtual exhibition of their work and links to where to buy the artwork - including original commissions. Artwork on display at the gallery is also able to purchase on the day via card.

Another feature of the gallery is its Sunday Salons, a series of artist talks every Sunday at 11am.

To visit, book an hourly slot at newartathome.co.uk. Opening hours are: Saturdays and Sundays 10am - 6pm

Will you be going to the new gallery?
