TCV are seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable and committed person to join their London Health & Education team for this important post.

The post holder will have the primary roles of leading the delivery of the weekly Green Gym at Redlees Park in Isleworth.

Additionally, the post holder will be expected to lead and/or support the delivery of wider TCV activities as required, such as large volunteering events or corporate volunteering events.

TCV are partners with Hounslow Borough, in delivering activities which connect people and green spaces.

The successful applicant will be continuing to work with Hounslow Borough representatives and local people, with the aim of increasing participant's health and wellbeing through social engagement, gentle exercise and connectivity with the outdoors.

The post holder will actively seek new volunteers to attend the Green Gyms, through continual engagement with local social prescribing partner referrals.

They will also continually recruit and train volunteers to ensure they have the maximum opportunity to develop their skills and experience.

Additionally, the post holder will be required to support TCV and the community in various ways, such as through corporate volunteering events or by hosting river clean-up sessions.

The post holder will work closely with the existing TCV staff in London to ensure local people receive the best possible volunteering experience.

The successful applicant will have experience of working with communities and a good knowledge of the outdoors.

They must be able to plan practical projects including ordering materials and other logistics.

They must be able to demonstrate an understanding of a range of practical activities, experience in supervising groups of people, an ability to communicate effectively with people with varying abilities and levels of influence, together with personal qualities of intuition, resourcefulness and flexibility.

The post is part-time for 17.5 hours per week on a fixed-term basis until November 30.

Although the post will initially be home based, once the COVID restrictions ease, the successful applicant will be based at the ETNA Community Centre in Twickenham.

The practical Green Gyms will be held every Thursday, from 10.45am to 2pm, in Redlees Park.
