Three ex-British and Irish Lions took to the stage in St Margarets last night to record the latest episode of Lawrence Dallaglio's Lions Podcast.

Lawrence Dallaglio, Ben Kay, Rob Henderson and journalist Simon Collins recorded live at The Turk's Head to discuss the bizarre online behaviour of the South African coach and take a look ahead to which players will be instrumental in the Second Test on Saturday.

The panel discussed last weekend's game in South Africa in detail as well as coverage of the match – Kay saying: "It was the slowest there has been all tour".

You can't expect three former players to get on stage without reminiscing British & Irish Lions tours gone by, and there was plenty of that too. There were stories of late nights and too many kebabs, snoring habits and Jonny Wilkinson's early-morning kick practising.

The four set their predictions for this weekend's match against the Springboks at Cape Town Stadium.

Henderson, former Wasps, Munster and Ireland centre, said: "I think the squad will be going in full of confidence," after last week's performance – admitting his analysis wasn't particularly ground breaking.

Questions from the audience included Marcus Smith and his soaring career so far at just 22 years old, the impact of having no crowd, and how difficult it is to come together as Lions while going head to head against each other for their home nations.

The podcast is run in partnership with Fuller's London Pride, the Official Beer of The British & Irish Lions - and there was plenty of it on tap last night.
