A person was taken to a major trauma centre yesterday afternoon after an incident at an address in Twickenham.

An air ambulance landed in Marble Hill House's Gardens, as many local residents witnessed.

The ambulance used the grounds to land while attending to a resident on Crown Road, who was taken to a major trauma center.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 12.41pm yesterday (27 July) to reports of an incident at a residential address on Crown Road, Twickenham.

"We sent an ambulance crew, a medic in a car, a hazardous area response team, and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance.

"A person was treated at the scene and taken to a major trauma centre as a priority."
