What Morrisons are looking for
Morrisons look for people who are friendly, respectful, motivated, passionate and energetic.
The successful candidates for this role will have taken or are planning to take their Legal Practice Course (LPC) and ideally have experience of working in a law firm already.
Morrisons are looking for someone with the ability to absorb and apply legal principles in practical situations.
The successful candidate will have confidence in presentation and communication as well as the ability to adapt and deliver change as well as demonstrate excellent team working skills.
What will you do in the role?
Morrisons have outlined the responsibilities in this job:
To undertake a range of legal, technical and administrative tasks as directed by the "seat" supervisor
To assist in the provision of legal services and the giving of legal advice to clients
Throughout the period of the recognised training, the Trainee will receive training in a variety of areas of law to satisfy the Solicitors Regulation Authority requirements
To provide an efficient and friendly service to clients. To achieve this you will be expected to:
Adopt a business like, polite and sensible approach in your telephone and written dealings with clients, other solicitors and third parties
Adhere to the client care standards set out in the firm's Terms of Business and Professional Standards Manuals
Write letters and produce documents in so far as possible in plain English and with a good quality of presentation
How being a trainee works
The trainee contract lasts for two years and gives a real flavour of the work that Morrisons does.
The hours are Monday-Friday from nine to five with a competitive salary.
During your time as a trainee you can gain experience in the following types of law:
Contentious: Civil Litigation, Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence, Family
Non-Contentious: Corporate & Commercial, Commercial Property, Residential Conveyancing, Trusts, Wills and Probate and Employment
