Students at Lady Eleanor Holles School (LEH) in Hampton are celebrating another strong set of A-level results, with almost four in five grades awarded at A*-A.

The class of 2026 achieved 39% A*, 78% A-A* and 95% A-B*, surpassing the school's strong performance from last year.

Students also achieved impressive results in the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), with 91% of grades awarded at A-A*.

The school said the results reflected the hard work of students alongside the support of teachers, staff and parents.

However, LEH also highlighted the achievements of students who have balanced their academic studies with success in sport, music and other activities.

Among those receiving their results were members of the school's U19 lacrosse team, which was crowned National Schools Lacrosse Champion.

Team captain Molly achieved straight A* grades, while vice-captain Kiki achieved two A*s and an A.

Alpine skier Alice achieved straight As while competing internationally, while rower Maddie achieved two A*s and two As after representing Great Britain at the Coupe de la Jeunesse, where she returned with two gold medals.

Physicist and competitive cheerleader and tumbler Polina achieved straight A*s, alongside a Gold Award in the national British Physics Olympiad earlier this year. She also competed at the Cheerleading Worlds in Florida.

The school said the Class of 2026 includes performers, musicians, artists, athletes, scientists, writers and leaders, with students now preparing to take a wide range of next steps.

Among the destinations are Falmouth University, where Harriet will study Animation, UCL, where Isabella will study Civil Engineering, and Waseda University in Japan, where Hanna will study International Liberal Arts.

Ursula will study Medicine at Glasgow, Freya will read Chemistry at Oxford, while Tilly is set to study Economics at Brown University in the US.

Head Rowena Cole said: "Academic excellence matters at LEH. We want girls to think hard, to question, to explore ideas and to discover just how intellectually capable they are. Today's results are an outstanding reflection of that.

"But we don't believe academic achievement comes from making your world smaller. Quite the opposite: we want our girls' worlds to be as big, exciting and diverse as possible."

Reflecting on the school's lacrosse success, Cole also referenced the team's motto, 'the longer the string, the higher the kite flies', saying it captured the opportunities available to students.

She added: "The Class of 2026 embodies this spirit brilliantly. They haven't simply participated; they have worked hard and excelled – academically, creatively, on stage, on the water and on the sports field.

"Their A levels open the next door, and I couldn't be more excited to see where they go when they stride through it."
