A person died at Hampton Railway Station over the weekend.

The person had gotten onto the tracks on Sunday (25 January) evening and, despite being treated by paramedics, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesperson for the British Transport Police told Nub News: "Officers were called at around 7.30pm on Sunday 25 January to reports of a casualty on the tracks at Hampton railway station.

"Officers responded with paramedics, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
