A planning application has been submitted to Richmond Council to turn Whitton's old Halifax location into a studio flat.

Whitton's Halifax, which was situated at 137 Percy Road, has been closed since 2020 and the premises has been empty ever since.

The application asks to turn part of the ground floor from commercial to a single residential use.

It says: "The existing site is 3 storey semi-detached building of mixed use on the corner of Percy Road and Jubilee Avenue.

"The ground floor is of commercial use, whilst the upper two levels are of residential use.

"Our proposal will look to create 1 studio flat with no external changes to the existing building."
