An application has been submitted to install new rapid electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at a fast-food chain in Hanworth.
InstaVolt Ltd has put forward proposals for three rapid EV charging stations, alongside the removal of two existing charging points in McDonald's Hanworth car park.

In its application, the EV company explained: "InstaVolt is the UK's largest rapid charging network, with over 2,200 rapid chargers either energised or currently under construction.
"Our business model is to install, own and operate rapid chargers for public use on land leased or purchased from third parties.
"Our mission is to make electric vehicle charging accessible to all and to provide a best-in-class experience for drivers by offering the highest levels of reliability and easy-to-use hardware."
However, one local resident has objected to the plans, arguing that the proposals would result in a significant loss of soft landscaping at the site.

They said: "The site has progressively lost almost all soft landscaping, including the apparent replacement of natural grass with artificial turf and the removal of shrubs indicated on the approved drawings.
"The scale of this change is substantial, estimated at approximately 80 to 120 square metres, and the site now appears to be almost entirely hard-landscaped."
They added: "This change has resulted in harm to visual amenity, biodiversity, and the character of the street scene, particularly given the site's prominent corner location."
A decision on the application has yet to be made. To read the full plans, click here.
