Plans to improve accessibility at Twickenham's York House have been put forward.
A planning application has been submitted for a new ramp to the rear to allow further access to the Winter Gardens room at the licenced venue.
Plans submitted to Richmond Council state: "The proposed works to York House are a new external ramp to the rear of the main building to provide access to the Winter Gardens room.
"The proposal includes black painted steel handrail, York stone paving and rendered base.
"A concealed strip of LED lighting to ensure adequate visibility of the ramp for users to navigate.
"The proposed works described above involve the partial cut back of the steel handrail on the eastern side of the existing external steps to enable the top of the ramp to arrive at the existing landing of the steps.
"The new handrail is to be detailed to match exactly the existing handrail with supports set out to align with the rear elevation of the building.
"The ramp is set away from the rear face of the building to ensure the rear façade and the fixtures upon it (such as the rain water pipe) are not compromised."
