Ted Lasso fans were treated to the perfect Valentine's Day gift today after it was officially confirmed the award-winning series would be returning March 15 2023.

Apple TV+ announced the news earlier today on their Twitter account which included a teaser trailer paving the way for Coach Lasso's next chapter, played by Jason Sudeikis.

Most of the stars of the hit series are seen including Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein), Jamie Tartt (Phil Dunster), Keeley Jones (Juno Temple), Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham) and Sam Obisanya (Toheeb Jimoh), who each hold up signs saying Believe, which is what Jason's coach Lasso was known for sharing in season one and two to inspire his soccer players.

The trailer concludes with Lasso and Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt) entering the room.

After acknowledging the believe signs Coach Lasso turns to Beard saying 'Well, if seeing is believing, I believe we've been seen.'

The popular series has put Richmond and its landmarks on the global tourism map with fans travelling from all over to see the series being filmed in the borough.

Hundreds of Ted Lasso faithfuls turned up to Richmond Green back in October 2022 as filming wrapped up for series three, and on March 15, the stage is set for its highly-anticipated return.

Filming of Ted Lasso's third series wrapped up on Richmond Green in October 2022.

The villain for season three will be former AFC Richmond crew member Nate Shelley (Nick Mohammed) who has joined another team, West Ham United, and the new series is also expected to feature cameos from Gary Lineker and Thierry Henry.

Whilst Sudeikis, Hunt, Goldstein and the rest of the writing staff are the only ones who know for sure the plot for the new series, there are several relationships that will need addressing like the one between Rebecca and Sam, as well as what feels like a splintering relationship between Roy and Keeley, and the reemergence of Jaime Tartt to complicate things further.

Will Ted be able to keep everything together?

We don't have long to find out!
