Richmond Road, Twickenham is currently closed near to the junction of Sandycoombe Road to facilitate emergency Thames Water repairs to a high-pressure water main, which has also damaged the carriageway.

A local diversion is currently in place but delays to journey times are expected.

People are asked to avoid the area if possible.

Richmond Council said: "The estimated completion date for the repair is 26/01/2024, however Richmond Council are liaising closely with Thames Water to ensure these works are completed and Richmond Road is reopened as soon as possible."
