Strawberry Hill Stabbing:

Sadly, a murder took place at Strawberry Hill Station on the evening of Monday 8 January.

A 21-year-old male, named as Anojan Gnaneswaran, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men aged 19 and one man aged 18 have been arrested in connection with the investigation.

Police are still appealing for information in this case.

Borough of Richmond named one of the best places to retire in 2024:

The Telegraph has named the borough of Richmond upon Thames one of the best places in the UK to retire in 2024.

Exeter in Devon came in as the number one spot, followed by Merton and then Richmond in place number three.

The Twickenham Staircase helping people to reach their dreams:

Last August, 49-year-old Simon Squibb bought a disused four-story staircase located behind Twickenham's Starbucks at auction for £25,000 – now he is using it to help people achieve their dreams. 

Whilst awaiting planning permission to turn the staircase into the headquarters of his company, Helpbank, and a pop-up space for entrepreneurs, he has put a doorbell and letterbox on the building to encourage people to pitch their business ideas.

New Twickenham bubble tea shop hosts grand opening:

Twickenham's new bubble tea shop, Cupp, hosted its grand opening on Friday 12 January.

The shop, which is located on King Street, was offering free boba tea to the first one hundred customers and 50% off all boba teas for everyone all day.

CUPP Bubble Tea is one of the UK's fast-growing bubble tea brands and the queue for today's opening was stretching down King Street.

Twickenham MP Munira Wilson introduced a bill to the commons to give all state schools a mental health professional.

Statistics show that 61% of those waiting for mental health support had stopped attending school, college, university, or work.

58% missed more than two weeks of school, 42% missed more than a month and 20% missed more than six months.

Ahead of the introduction of the bill, the Education Spokesperson Munira Wilson MP said: 

"This Conservative Government has failed time and again to tackle the crisis in mental health services for children and young people.

"Children and young people in England who have a probable mental health disorder are not getting the help they need and deserve."
