An award-winning local charity, which supports families who have children with additional needs and disabilities, is hiring.

Skylarks is looking to fill three roles, including two part-time paid roles and one voluntary role on its board of trustees.

Specifically, it is looking for a SEND Careers Adviser, a Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser and a Deputy Chair to the Board of Trustees.

Skylarks provides a supportive and active community, which is designed to remove the isolation that can be felt by families and their children who have a disability or additional needs.

The group is based in the borough of Richmond at the CrossWay Centre, East Twickenham, and over 3,000 families are registered to use its services.

The charity was originally founded by a group of parent volunteers in 2006 to fill a gap in the local community where there was a lack of support.

The group has been awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service in recognition of the wonderful team of dedicated volunteers we have supporting our cause.

It has expanded from first providing inclusive play sessions to now offering a wide range of therapies, activities and services that are often otherwise inaccessible to families. These include services such as hydrotherapy, counselling, inclusive activities like drama and karate and free advice for Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Find out more about the role, full job descriptions and details of how to apply.
