Squires' Twickenham celebrates 60 years with expert talks

Squires Garden Centres in Twickenham is hosting two special evening talks in May as part of the centre's 60 year anniversary celebrations.

Gardening expert David Domoney giving a talk on 'Grow Your Own' (1 May) and rose aficionado, Ray Martin of The Rose Society UK, imparting his knowledge on 'Grow Roses Easily' (29 May).  

Guests will be welcomed by Colin Squire OBE, Chairman Emeritus, and his daughter, Sarah Squire, Chairman of Squires' Garden Centres, with a welcome glass of fizz and canapes in the Café Bar.

Tickets cost £15 and can be booked online

Expert Talks

David Domoney, Wednesday, 1 May at 5pm:

An 'insightful' talk and demonstration with Chartered Horticulturalist and TV Presenter.

Step-by-step advice on how to grow your own, that can be practiced indoors and outdoors to ensure a bumper crop.

David will also be available for book signings at the event. 

Ray Martin, Wednesday, 29 May at 5pm:

An 'Illustrative talk' with 12 top tips to grow, cultivate and prune roses to ensure they are kept in the best condition. 

Sarah Squire, Chairman of Squires' Garden Centres, comments: "We are delighted to welcome David and Ray who are so knowledgeable in their respective fields.

"Guests will be guaranteed an informative and entertaining evening.

"My father and I are really looking forward to welcoming guests to our Twickenham centre and these talks are a way of marking our horticultural heritage in this very special 60th year anniversary of the centre."
