A study has named Richmond as the most child friendly borough.

The study, carried out by Alan Boswell Landlord Insurance, looked at factors such as average rent prices, number of schools, as well as the number of recorded crimes, nurseries and childminders to find out which borough was the most child friendly.

Richmond scored 8.2 out of 10, whereas the lowest-scoring borough Lambeth scored 7.16.

Richmond upon Thames had an average rent price of £2,729 for a two bed flat and the borough has 22 schools per 100,000 people and 2 nurseries and 12 childminders per 100,000 people.

Richmond also recorded only 5,805 crimes per 100,000 people in the 2022-2023 period, compared to 10,524 in Lambeth.

This was the lowest rate of crime for all boroughs.

Barnet came in as the second best borough, with an average rent price of £2,354 for a 2-bed flat and 22 schools per 100,000 people, five of which are outstanding.
