Tesco in St Margarets will be shut for the next two weeks.

The Express store closed yesterday (Saturday) at 4pm and will not reopen until Monday, February 22.

The store appears to be having a makeover in this period, and some locals are not happy.

Ed Randall took to Twitter to vent his frustration and asked the supermarket: "Why are you closing the local St Margarets store for refurbishment in the middle of the current lockdown?

"This is well out of order."

Tesco replied: "Hi there, I'm sorry to hear that you are unhappy with one of stores closing for a refurbishment and I can understand your unhappiness. I will certainly feed back your concerns."

David Ford said: "I still can't believe @Tesco infiltrated St Margarets, that's the reason why we sold up and left. #shouldhavebeenwaitrose"
