The pop-up outdoor cinema at Marble Hill House is showing The Goonies tonight!

The Luna Cinema is at Marble Hill House all week and last night screened its first film - Mean Girls.

Tonight it is showing The Goonies, and tomorrow The Bodyguard.

The Goonies is a 1985 adventure comedy following a young group called The Goonies, starring Sean Astin, Josh Brolin and Jeff Cohen.

The film is 1hr54mins.

The screen is located on the lawn adjacent to the car park.

No matter the weather, the organisers say the show must go on!

Luna Cinema told Nub News: "The event will always go ahead in the event of bad weather.

"Please check the weather forecast in advance and be prepared for the Great British Summer.

"Screenings will only be cancelled if the weather conditions present a danger at screening time.

"In the unlikely event that a screening is cancelled, we will aim to give as much notice as possible and visitors will be notified of cancellation by SMS and/or via email."

Luna says: "Situated right on the bank of the River Thames and just a stone's throw away from Twickenham Station, Marble Hill House is the ideal setting for an evening of classic cinema.

"A Palladian villa built between 1724 and 1729, this beautiful house will provide a perfect backdrop to meet with friends and family for a cinema experience like no other."

The site will be serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from The Luna Bar including Moretti beer, Cansecco prosecco, wines, spirits and soft drinks.

Popcorn, crisps and Häagen-Dazs will also be available as well as hot food available through a click and collect service or via old fashioned queues!
