The Turks Head has been included in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide for 2024.

Celebrating its 51st edition, the UK's best-selling beer and pub guide surveys 4,500 of the best pubs across the country.

This year's edition, which has been compiled by hundreds of volunteers, comes with a striking cover and a foreword supplied by Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson.

Dickinson's foreword shines a spotlight on the cultural tradition of pubs within the United Kingdom, the importance of protecting the heritage, charm and welcoming nature of pubs and clubs, and not taking them for granted.

Across Greater London some 293 pubs are covered as well as 122 breweries, with 68 new entries.

The Turks Head, which is cited as 'a genuine local corner pub' is praised for its two changing beers and The Bearcat Comedy Club which takes place on Saturday nights in the Winchester Hall.

This follows the pubs' success at the Great British Pub Awards a couple of weeks ago, where they won best urban pub.
