A tiny 'tardis' house in Twickenham, that is just 7ft 9in wide, is on the market for £620,000.

While the property appears barely wide enough for a double bed, it does offer two bedrooms on the first floor.

And, once inside, it stretches back towards its own garden, which contains a separate self-contained annexe, which could be rented to raise an income.

The entrance opens on to the narrow living room and on through a hallway, passing a bathroom through to a kitchen, which has enough space for a small table and chairs.

The tiny property, advertised by Laurels, is squeezed into a space between two other homes in Third Cross Road. And the price tag highlights just how difficult it is for young families in the area to get a foot of the property ladder.

However this leafy area of south west London is highly sought after with its good links into central London and the fact it is close to good schools..

Daniel Copley, of Zoopla, said: "This property boasts a deceptively large interior that is brimming with natural light and a spacious, well-maintained garden that even has its own annexe.

"Another selling point is undoubtedly the property's wonderful location, with Twickenham Green and The Thames a short walk away, as well as several excellent nurseries and schools."
