Twickenham-based actress Sarah Lancashire makes King's New Year Honours List 2025

BAFTA award winning actress, Sarah Lancashire has been added to this year's King's New Year Honours List for her services to drama, being named a Commander of the British Empire (CBE).

The actress is known for her roles in Happy Valley, Last Tango in Halifax, and The Accident.

Lancashire was born in Urmston, Lancashire, but currently resides in a £3m house in Twickenham.

Speaking about her CBE, Lancashire said: "It's an unexpected delight."
