Dining in is the new dining out and Twickenham restaurants are serving up special menus this weekend to mark Valentine's Day.

Ruben's Bakehouse in Heath Road said: "Why not enjoy a heart shaped pizza on Valentine's Day?

"Add some delicious cakes with vanilla & strawberries or chocolate & cherries, Tiramisù, cheesecake tarts on the side... plenty to choose from â¤â¤â¤."

Indian restaurant Tsaretta Spice in Church Street is selling Valentine's Day Gift Cards "so that you can give your partner the promise of the evening out you would have had otherwise".

They include a complementary cocktail from its Tipsy List and can be bought from the restaurant's website here.

St Margarets restaurant Le Salon Prive has compiled a special menu with a three-course meal which costs £45.

For starters you can choose from smoked salmon roulade and pickled radish; south coast crab and prawns rillette with mango salad; or ham hock and foie gras terrine, rhubarb compote and brioche.

The main course options are roast lamb rack, blackened cauliflower, tomato confit and anchovies sauce; beef fillet, potato gateaux, broccoli and black truffle sauce; or whole lobster, frites and chimichurri sauce (£10 extra).

Desserts include passion fruit pannacotta; chocolate and pistachio profiteroles; or strawberry cheesecake. Yum!

The menu is available across both Saturday and Sunday.

Fishmonger Sandy's has also put together a three-course meal.

For starters you'll tuck into Dorset white crab, Balmoral smoked salmon, red pepper sushi timbale with soy and ginger dressing and wasabi mayonnaise.

The main course is a choice of meat or fish: Scottish fillet of beef Wellington, mushroom duxelles, Parma ham and dijon with red wine jus; or smoked salmon encroute stuffed with monkfish and herbs, wrapped in a leek pancake and puff pastgry with white wine cream sauce. Both come served with celeriac puree and winter greens.

Dessert is lemon posset with Sicilian blood orange, kaffir lime compote and shortbread biscuits and chocolate truffles.

Customers need to order three days in advance, so by this Thursday if you want to dine on Sunday.

You can also order a Valentine's Day dinner from the Green Butcher, which opened near Twickenham Green last September.

The meal comprises smoked salmon from Loch Stoch served with herb creme fraiche, pickles and a mini loaf to start and for the main, fillet steaks, ribeye cote de bouef or sirloin prepared in-house by its chefs. Dessert is chocolate orange fondant with vanilla mascarpone.

If you fancy something to accompany your meal, you can enter a competition to win a free bottle courtesy of a Twickenham restaurant.

Church Street Twickenham tweeted: "Ristorante Sorrento would like to help one lucky couple celebrate Valentines in style by giving them a bottle of the famous red Amarone wine! Q = On which coast in Italy is Sorrento situated on?

"Just email [email protected] by Feb 12. Winner chosen at random."

Happy dining folks and if your restaurant has put together a special Valentine's Day menu, email a few details to [email protected] and we'll include it.
